Biography

I guess you could say that my fascination with money started at an early age...about six to be exact. That's when I got a toy bank and safe that I used to save all of the change I could scrounge up. From there I started collecting coins at the age of nine and was watching the stock market by the age of twelve. By the time I was 15 I had started my own grass cutting business and bought a bank certificate of deposit with my first summer's earnings. I've spent my entire working career from the age of 21 helping people with their money. First as a debt collector, then an investment broker, then a banker/broker/insurance agent, then a comprehensive financial planner, and now I'm working on delivering all of the knowledge trapped in my noggin through the web.

This blog is one of the quick avenues for delivering financial information that many people simply never learn about. The educational system doesn't do it, parents don't like to talk about it, and the financial services industry has their own agenda. So here I am dropping daily posts for your benefit. Believe me, it's not like this is a gold mine of a business model...collecting a few cents per click isn't exactly making a killing.

It is my hope that you will actually learn something in reading this blog, as the number one financial problem we face is that of financial illiteracy. Read any financial literacy study ever conducted and you will find that we are simply illiterate as a people. It is this fundamental problem that I am working to solve through the posts on this blog, the web based software being developed at DitoAdvisor.com, the monthly columns in CiN Weekly, and the face to face advice delivered through Walden Advisors.

With that, I wish you the best of luck with your finances and should you need some help, just ask.
